FOR GLOBAL AGRICULTURAL THEORY AND PRACTICAL INFORMATION CIRCUIT By dr. eng. Proorocu A. Angel – Romania When I was student, in 1982, at the Pomiculture Students Debating Society of the Faculty of Horticulture, our professor Cepoiu Nicolae told us about the new current in agricultural theory in Romania, the introduction of some species from spontaneous flora in culture, one of them being sea buckthorn. Sea buckthorn is called by the Romanian peasants “berries of the Holy Virgin”. Also, in 1982 appeared the students handbook ”POMICULTURA generala si speciala”, the 41-th Chapter title was “The sea buckthorn growing” by Victor Cireasa one of Romanian sea buckthorn promoters and research important specialist. I am honored to mention that in 1999 I graduate a master with the dissertation work “The use of sea buckthorn specie on destructed soils in Romania”.
